April is coming to an end and so is the first semester of my classes. I have been already talking about graduation which seems like will be tomorrow. All of my classes have been online and that means more self discipline and learning and discovering things on my own. Learning has always been a talent of mine. I remember finishing self paced classes a lot sooner in high school and one of my teachers didn't know what to do with me because there were three more months. Learning was also a top talent when I was working for Estee Lauder and Clinique. I love to discover and learn new things just like I do on my blog with makeup. 

I love trying new products! It is fun to discover new makeup! I started this blog because I love playing with makeup and sharing my experience with you. I learn more each time what I want this blog to be as I grow.  

I have been eyeing this beauty brand for a while. There are so many products I wanted to try and I decided to mainly focus on some complexion products with a splash of color. I have been testing these products for a couple of weeks to get the feeling of the wear, texture and quality of the products. Jouer Essential high coverage concealer Pen

No sleep? Tired eyes? It's our little secret! This creamy texture concealer hides imperfections and naturally blends into the eyes to make the eyes look more awake, hides dark circles and create a more natural look that blends into the skin.

Jouer has two different formula in concealers. I wanted to try the creamier textures in concealers because I the application process of a cream pen looks intriguing. It comes in a gold pen that you click from the bottom when you need more. It feels so comforting because it feels like a real pen. This concealer I did try something different than I usually do with other concealers. I like to try a shade lighter, usually the lightest shade possible, to create a brightening effect. I went with my shade to match my face more so that I can also use this on other parts of my face to cover imperfections instead of creating the brightening effect. I chose the color Custer which is a light color with neutral pink undertones. 

I just love the way that this concealer looks on the top when I first opened it. It looks smooth and hydrating and it is perfectly shaped as a triangle on top with a pointy end so you can reach the hard to get areas such as the corner of your eyes and nose. 

The texture is super creamy and hydrating. It's moisturizing texture feels like butter and blends so easy on the skin! It's a full coverage texture that doesn't cake on the skin. It feels like natural skin and you can easily build the coverage if you need to cover more on your skin. There is no creasing present and lasts all day. My eyes gets dryer than most part of the skin so I need a concealer with the hydration benefits.

Soft focus hydrate and set powder diffuses the texture to minimizes pores and sets in the makeup

What I strive to achieve when looking for a new powder is something that is soft, lightweight and doesn't cake. I want something that sets it all into the skin without making my skin feel dry. I have always been resistant to trying powders in the past when I have dry skin because it would just make my dry skin dryer and cakey. Another issue that I had against powders is that I didn't want them to emphasize on my pores and lines. I have not concerns with this powder. The texture is lightweight. It blends into the skin beautifully and it's nondrying formula. 

The powder comes in a pink compact that is easy for travel. Open the case and it reveals a powder with the cutest design. It has mini Jouer logos embedded in the powder. 

It's great for carrying in my purse for touch-ups throughout the day for spot treatment if I need to calm down any shine on my skin. The Soft focus hydrate and set powder helps sets in my foundation and concealer to create a smoother finish that lasts all day. 

It has skin loving ingredients that boosts the hydration factor of your skin such as Vitamin E, Hyaluronic Acid and Allantoin. I am impressed that this powder has the benefits of controlling the oils of your skin and providing hydration. 

I have tried the powder both with and without makeup to get a true feeling of how it feels. It felt weightless on top of the foundation: full and lightweight. It doesn't take away from the foundation either. You will still feel the benefits of your hydrating foundation if you apply this on top of your foundation and the same goes for mattifying foundation. It sets in my foundation so there are no streaks and it helps it resist the foundation fading throughout the day. I also wear this alone on days that I don't wear makeup to achieve a smooth texture that diffuses the appearance my pores and lines.

Powder Highlighter in Citrine

So much products from Jouer have surprised and gave me that wow moment! This highlighter was no exception. I first applied it very lightly with a tap on the top of my cheeks and I was amazed with the color payoff with a lightweight application. The Jouer Powder Highlighter is high in pigmented. I chose the color Citrine which is a shimmering gold shade. It illuminates that top of my face and create a beautiful iridescent of glow where the lights hits my face.

I like to experiment with different techniques when I am trying something new to find the best application technique. I tried the powder on top of foundation both as a lightweight highlight and also added more layers to achieve that bold highlight effect. Both ways were so beautiful. I also applied the highlighter without any foundation as a natural glow to create a glow where the natural sunlight hits it. I also created a higher pigmentation by using a setting spray on the brush after picking up the highlight to intensify the highlight.

The texture is a smooth cream like texture. I am addicted to this highlighter and I have added it to my frequent rotation of makeup products. It is up in front because this has been my go to highlighter. I just love highlighters that create that effortless glow without having to create extra layers to create a beautiful depth of highlight.

Lip Enhancer

My precious! This product is magic in a tube! It gives my lips a beautiful plump. I just enjoy wearing it by itself. Believe that hype about this product. I have noticed instant results as well as improvement in the texture of my lips after using it over time. There are a lot of products that have impressed me from Jouer! This is the top of my list of products. It creates an instant plump with a gentle sensation. I love the sensation that other lip plumpers gives me but this is a great tool for those that prefer something that is more delicate and doesn't provide an intense stinging sensation.

If there is one product that you can only buy from Jouer I would definitely recommend you try this first. This was the first product that I bought from Sephora. I use this before bed to give it a soothing feeling while I sleep and I wake up with comforting lips. There is no substitution to drinking water when it comes to hydration but this soothes dry chapped lips. I wear it before I leave the house and the hydrating feelings lasts a long time.

I am excited to share about my experience on this one. I saved the best for last. It's so sweet to see Christine excited and proud of her daughter for her collaboration. Her daughter chose a beautiful color. Her mother stated that she chose this color based on a old color that she would use that is they don't make anymore. This collaboration is perfect and sweet! 

I have become a fan of cream blush sticks and I have been a collector of blush in all forms. I found a new love as I am discovering more forms of blushes in the form a blush stick and I love the sticks that have a due side with a highlighter. I am happy to add this to my collection and wait wait to collect more shades. It's a perfect creamy texture that is both hydrating and soothing. I like to use cream blushes when my skin feels more on the dryer side. You can apply with your finger or sponge to blend the colors. I like to blend with my fingers after applying the color directly. 

I love how this blush is so smooth and hydrating. This blush glides on my cheeks and lips with a buttery texture that blends into my skin. I use it both on my lips and cheeks to create a cohesive look. I was so surprised and fell in love when I applied the color on my lips. It's a beautiful rose color that creates the perfect shade of rose. Rose lipsticks are usually my favorite colors to wear. The blush and cheek combination is so perfect. It creates a unified look

I was so excited, inspired and had so much fun discovering all of these products. I wanted to create a makeup look with just the products from Jouer. 

Below I am wearing all of the the Jouer products that I discussed: JOUER X AMELIE BLUSH & BLOOM CHEEK +LIP DUO, Soft focus Hydrate and Set Powder in fair, Essential High Coverage Concealer Pen in custard, Powder Highlighter in Citrine and lip enhancer.
